This paper from the Migration Policy Institute looks at the importance of and helping immigrants to earn a marketable postsecondary credential. Given that 30 percent of all US adults without a postsecondary credential are immigrants, this targeted approach presents an opportunity to boost the US workforce quickly and efficiently. Source of Data: The Current Population Survey The Current Population Survey is the primary source of labor force statistics in the U.S. This survey is conducted every month on a sample of 60,000 households. Topics include labor force questions and additional related topics such as income, veteran status, school enrollment and job tenure.
